1. AI translation of the booking form into the customer's language

What it is: Booqme automatically translates the entire booking form – service names, categories, descriptions, staff names and notes – into the language the customer uses on their phone or browser. The translation is done by artificial intelligence, so the operation doesn't have to translate anything manually or enter texts in multiple languages.

Why it matters: In Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia, salons are increasingly serving foreign customers – tourists, expats and employees of international companies. If a customer does not understand the name of the service “Haircut + Beard Trim”, they often do not complete the booking. A translated form removes this barrier.

How it works in practice:

• The establishment has its services and offerings listed in one language, for example Slovak.
• The customer opens the booking link and the form is displayed in their language (English, German, Hungarian, Ukrainian and others).
• The translation does not only apply to the form: the confirmation email, SMS, push notifications, and appointment reminders will be sent to the customer in the language in which they made the reservation.
• The reservation will be displayed in the facility's calendar by default in the facility's language.
• The entire process is fully automatic and the translation is always up-to-date – when the operation modifies the menu or adds a service, it does not need to add anything.

2. Change the reservation directly from the customer's page

What it is: The customer can change the date of their reservation themselves - without calling or writing to the service. After booking, they will receive a link to their reservation page, where they can see the details of the date and move it to another available time.

Until now, reservation systems have worked in such a way that the customer had to cancel the original reservation and create a new one. Booqme is the first reservation system on the market that allows you to change the date directly - the reservation remains, only the time changes.

Why it matters: Rescheduling appointments is one of the most common reasons for salon calls. Every call interrupts work, and when the owner doesn’t answer, the customer either no-shows or doesn’t reschedule at all. Self-service rescheduling saves time for both the business and the customer and reduces missed appointments – the customer doesn’t have to go through the entire booking process again.

How it works in practice:

• The customer clicks on the link from the confirmation email, SMS or notification.
• He sees his deadline, service and worker.
• Choose another free date - the system only offers times that are actually available.
• The operation will receive a notification of the change, the calendar will be updated automatically.
• The operation sets how long before the deadline the change is allowed (for example, no later than 24 hours in advance).

3. Online payments via Stripe Connect

What it is: Booqme is integrated with Stripe Connect, one of the most widely used payment platforms in the world. The business connects its own Stripe account and customers can pay for the reservation by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay directly at the time of booking. Stripe is the business's direct payment gateway - the money goes to its account, not through Booqme, and the business has full control over payments.

Significantly lower fees: With the switch to Stripe Connect, we have significantly reduced online payment fees. The operation pays the standard Stripe fee plus only 0.49% for processing by Booqme. Payments are made immediately by Stripe, without waiting for a third-party payout cycle.

Why it matters: A deposit or prepayment is the most effective tool against no-shows. The customer who paid will come. Stripe Connect also works in all EU countries, so it can be used by our clients in every market where Booqme operates.

How it works in practice:

• The operation connects a Stripe account in the Booqme settings (registration takes a few minutes).
• For each service, it determines whether the full amount is paid, a deposit is made, or payment is voluntary.
• The customer pays by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay when booking.
• The payment is immediately credited to the business's Stripe account, and the business can see the payment status for each reservation in the calendar.
• If you cancel your reservation within the allowed period, the payment can be refunded.
